Cable Show '09 Lines Up Fab Four Speakers

A quartet of top media players will make addresses during Cable Show ’09.

Brian Roberts at Cable Show pastThe lineup for the Cable Show ’09, set for the Washington Convention Center in the nation’s capital from April 1-3, will feature Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts, Time Warner Cable president and CEO Glenn Britt, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch and The Walt Disney Co. president and CEO Robert Iger.

The co-chairs for this year's show, the centerpiece for Cable Connection Week - Spring, are Johnathan Rodgers, president and CEO of TV One, and Michael Willner, vice chairman and CEO of Insight Communications.

The spring Cable Connection Week will also feature industry events associated with such organizations as Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, Cable Television Laboratories, Cable Positive, The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications, The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and Women in Cable Telecommunications

Attendees can book their Washington, DC hotel reservations using The Cable Show '09 housing block, as participating hotels offer discounted rates, access to show "room drops", and free shuttle bus transportation to the convention center. Registration is now open at www.thecableshow.com, and delegates who sign up by March 6 will save $100 on regular registration fees.
